There is a remote castle, large enough to host a town, elaborate with stonework, turrets, walkways, courtyards, and it is kidnapping people. The black Queen that controls the shadows needs life-- other lives-- to make herself immortal, and she is using yours. You are stuck here until you find a way to defeat her, and escape.

First you must explore the castle, whose doors will not open to individuals, only pairs or groups. You must find a weapon that will defeat the shadow monsters infesting everywhere, because nothing you can do will destroy them, just dissuade them. And if you do, eventually, escape...

Where is the way home?

Castle in the Mist is based on the PS2 game Ico, and has a structured setting with a loose plot that develops as players move things along. There is a planned sequel plot should this one run its course.

Apps and reserves are always open; we accept canon, AU, and original characters, as well as game imports; activity requirements are minimal; there are few power limitations; and the central focus is on face-to-face, not network-based, interaction.
